Weimaraner puppies sold near Bloomington, Indiana $400 per puppy

Stealing a book title from Agatha Christie – And Then There Were None. All the puppies have selected their new humans. We were able to meet all the new humans and are pleased to know our puppies are headed to homes where puppy love will be reciprocated with lots of human love. Red Collar (now Ember) and Orange Collar (now Duke) will be living just a few doors away from each other. Black Collar (now Ava) ironically will live within visiting distance of Ember and Duke. Blue Collar (now Walter Cain) has lots of extended family helping with his transition so it took a little longer to select his name. Green Collar (now Kobe) appeared to “hug” his new human as he wrapped both front legs around the human’s arm. Purple Collar (now Kora) snuggled against her owner at the initial visit. Yellow Collar (now Blue – since she is a Blue Weimaraner) was excited to meet her new human and will probably be bilingual! Gray Collar (now Harley) was waiting anxiously as her new owners strolled towards her, then let her puppy love take over. All the puppies are making their transition to their new homes and are experiencing lots of human love in the process. We couldn’t ask for anything better for our 8 little puppies.

Gray Collar was the last puppy selected, so for a few days, we were calling her “Polo”. After all her Daddy is Marco and who doesn’t love a good game of Marco Polo!

After the last puppy left, the mother, Arcadia, spent a hour or so positioning herself first in the front yard and barking N, W and E. She then relocated to the back yard barking S, W and E. I can only assume she was trying to call for her puppies. Although, she did not do that as each one left, only after “….There Were None“.

Several of the new humans had either recently lost a beloved pet with “recent” varying from 1 week to 13 months. All of the new humans were Weimaraner lovers – some having had multiple Weims over the years. It was wonderful meeting all the new humans as we could tell these 8 little puppies will be loved and cherished over the upcoming years.

The original posting details are still listed below so pictures of the puppies during their first few weeks of growth are viewable.

All the puppies are either sold or reserved from the original litter of 8 Weimaraner Puppies born on July 7, 2023 to our AKC Dam (Arcadia) and AKC Sire (Marco) in Bloomington, IN. The litter has been registered with the AKC, allowing you the option of fully registering your new family puppy on the AKC website.

The Dam is a Blue Weimaraner and the Sire is a Silver Weimaraner. The puppies’ colors include Silver as well as Blue.

This puppy will be available for pickup on Sept 1, 2023 (just in time for a long weekend to get your puppy used to their new home).

You can reserve your pup by making a $200 non-refundable down payment with the balance due upon pickup. These pups are receiving lots of adult contact as well as regular visits with toddlers and tweens. On 8/1/2023, the pups began walking on grass. Weaning is now completed. Puppies have discovered their love of running with ears flying (and no longer tripping over their feet).

1 female (Gray Collar) is still looking for her forever home and the human who will love her.

Weimaraners are lovable, people animals. Sometimes, they seem to think they ARE people. We hope you enjoy perusing the pictures of our puppies.

Arcadia (Blue Weimaraner) and Marco (Silver Weimaraner) a week before the pups were born. After the 8 pups were born, Arcadia would not let Marco near them for a couple of days. Now she allows him to check on them regularly.

Puppies at 12 days still like to be close to each other

1 remaining puppy as of 8/27/2023

Gray Collar (Female Blue) – Green Collar in the pictures below has sold.

Archived photos of the entire litter are displayed below.

Puppies at 18 days.

Collar Colors Orange, Blue and Green are males.

Red, Purple, Yellow, Black and Gray are females.

18 days old and loving people.

21 days old: tired after playing on the floor.

25 days old and exploring the great outdoors.

Anyone who has ever been owned by a Weimaraner will understand the picture below, as Blue Collar is practicing the Weimaraner yawn.

They tend to yawn when they KNOW they’ve done something wrong!

It’s never too early to start practicing for the Westminster Dog Show.

Pretty pretty blue eyes, although most Weims will end up with amber eyes as they mature.

Day 31 – eat, play, sleep, repeat!

Puppies are being weaned and really enjoy the chance to play outside after eating. Play time is typically 15 minutes, then they snuggle under my chair for a nice nap, before starting playtime again. They are eating 3 times per day and the dam is showing less interest in staying with puppies.

Day 36 – Personalities Galore

A few poses of the 3 boys.

Blue Collar is a blue weim. He was the first to have a real bark and the first to venture into the blueberry patch.

Orange Collar is also a blue. He is the largest of all the pups and chases after his mom. She’s ready for the weaning, but he wants more!

Green Collar is either a dark gray or blue. Still waiting to see if his coat darkens more. He is a lover boy. He’s the first to try to get into my lap during playtime.

Day 36 – Personalities Galore

Can’t leave out the 5 girls!

Black Collar is a silver weimaraner. She prefers to climb on top of her siblings at nap time. Today, she woke first and woke a brother by pulling his ear!

Gray Collar is a blue and prefers her dad’s old play toy over the new ones we purchased.

Purple Collar is a silver weim and loves to snuggle. She also ventured into the woods the other day and would wait until I was within reach before moving further inside this new territory.

Yellow Collar is a blue and enjoys spending most of her outside play time in or near the blueberry patch which has some taller grass.

Red Collar is another blue weimaraner and loves to join yellow in the blueberry patch. She is usually the first one ready for nap time.

Day 45 (6 wk, 3 days) – Always on the go

The puppies have been practicing step climbing. They are getting great at going up…..down is still a little iffy!!! At feeding time, it is a food frenzy. They love to run – hence some blurry pictures. They also keep an eye on where we are and like to be underfoot – especially when we are carrying food. This week they have also discovered our garden and especially enjoy the cucumber patch. Today, they found the horseradish patch – apparently laying on horseradish is pretty comfortable. Blue collar likes his doggy binkie! None of them could figure out how to drive the “big wheel”.
